Biomedical Engineering Director
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for oversight of the Renal Dialysis Biomedical Technicians to manage the documentation and operations related to preventative maintenance activities on assigned medical equipment, reverse osmosis water systems, dialysate delivery systems, inventory controls and quality controls. Performs and completes assigned duties and reporting in a timely, efficient, and competent manner. Complies with University Health and department policies and regulations for proper use and care of equipment and supplies. Maintains good public and personnel working relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Course of study in repair and maintenance of dialysis equipment or RO water treatment is required.
National Certification through BONENT or NANT required.
Two years of experience in preventative maintenance activities and inventory management in a renal dialysis setting is required.
