Assistant Director, Health Care Analytics - Analytics Community Initiatives and Population Health

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the department director and leadership in overseeing the program development, data and analytical support for various healthcare data and sources for use in promoting Community Initiatives and Population Health projects’ sustainability plan.  Ensures consistency of data definition and collection processes throughout the department and organization as applicable.  Serves in a leadership role for the Health System and promotes the development and conduct of interdisciplinary programs in support of population health activities and translational research. Provides guidance to UH senior leadership, directors and managers on issues related to population health and medical/health informatics. Promotes the University Health vision of Triple Aim PLUS and assures all projects are executed within the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in a medical field, medical/clinical Informatics, other health-related field is required. Doctorate degree is preferred. A minimum of three to five years of clinical and research data evaluation experience in a health system setting is required. Experience in obtaining extramural funding is preferred. At least three years of supervisory experience is required. Strong training in research methods with substantial professional experience in biomedical informatics, public health research or the planning, implementation and management of public health programs is preferred.
